Auditor Kicks off Dog License Season with Tour
Dog Licenses are an important way to protect your pet and fund the Dog Warden & APL. On Thursday, November 7th Auditor Thomas and Office Manager Sue Belden traveled around Ashtabula County delivering license info to veterinarians and feed mills to help raise awareness!
All dogs three-months-old or older must register or renew their license each year between December 1 and January 31. New dogs owners must purchase a license within 30 days. Renewals submitted after January 31 incur a $12.00 late fee. Licenses alert the Dog Warden of official ownership and the owner’s contact information if a dog becomes lost or a concern arises. These fees help with shelter costs and Dog Warden funds.
If you have a dog and need a 2020 license or need to renew a license, please visit our dog license page or call 440-576-3794 for more information.
