Auditor's Office COVID-19 Policies
Jefferson- Ashtabula County Auditor David Thomas released the Auditor’s Office policies and response to directives from National and State governments. “Our priorities in the Auditor’s Office are first and foremost staff and resident safety, but also serving the public and continuing the vital operations of Ashtabula County,” shared Auditor Thomas.
The Auditor’s Office will remain open for phone calls and emails to the public during all business hours of the Courthouse, Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm. Real Estate Professionals and those who fall under the Ohio Governor's Stay-At-Home Order as Essential Services will be permitted in person for Real Estate Transfers. Staff will be on Essential Working Hours meaning a rotation throughout the week. The public is asked to be patient as questions and real estate transfers cannot be guaranteed same day as is current policy.
The public is encouraged to go online to the Auditor’s Office website to perform tasks such as dog and vendor licenses and BOR Applications. Those wishing to transfer property may be served on demand or may be asked to drop off their documents for processing. We encourage non property transfer questions or concerns to be addressed via phone at 440-576-3783.
Deadlines for Board of Revision appeals are unchanged for March 31st and can be completed by mail. Any questions and concerns should be directed to Auditor Thomas at djthomas@ashtabulacounty.us or 440-576-3785. Policies are subject to change and will be posted on the Auditor’s website.
