Dog License Deadline Extended March 31st
COVID-19 Safe Options to get your 2021 License!
The Deadline to purchase your 2021 License without penalty has been extended to March 31st!
Dog Licenses are an important way to protect your pet and fund the Dog Warden & Ashtabula County Animal Shelters. We've begun mailing out the 2021 Dog License Applications to residents to begin the process of sales starting December 1. With over 10,000 dogs licensed, this is quite the undertaking!
During COVID-19, please know you can license your dog safely via our website or mail. Click here for more infomation.
All dogs three-months-old or older must register or renew their license each year between December 1 and March 31. New dogs owners must purchase a license within 30 days. Renewals submitted after March 31 incur a $12.00 late fee. Licenses alert the Dog Warden of official ownership and the owner’s contact information if a dog becomes lost or a concern arises. These fees help with shelter costs and Dog Warden funds.
If you have a dog and need a 2021 license or need to renew a license, please visit our dog license page or call 440-576-3794 for more information.
