Conveyance Standards Changes- Hearings Announced

Effective July 1, 2021 the process to transfer property in Ashtabula County will be changing. These changes reflect best practice and a more efficient procedure. 

Starting July 1, 2021 legal descriptions and surveys will be checked and approved by the Engineer's Office via email or drop off. Hard copy original documents must then be taken to the Auditor and Recorder for transfer.

To facilitate these changes, the Ashtabula County Auditor and Engineer will be updating the conveyance standards for Ashtabula County. To view the draft proposal, click here. Items in red are new text and changes from the 2020 Approved Document.

The Hearings to gain public feedback will be June 7^th at 1:30pm and June 21^st at 9am in the Commissioner’s Meeting Room. Prior to these hearings, we are happy to have any feedback and suggestions given to us.
