Damaged Property Tax Relief

Many county residents have been impacted by recent storms and heavy snow.  Significant damage to buildings can result in temporary relief in property taxes through the County Auditor's Office.  

If you suffered significant damage (prevents occupancy/use) please contact our office or file a Deduction for Damaged or Destroyed Property form by January 31, 2025.  You can also contact our staff at 440-576-3749 to discuss the damage.  Damage can be investigated by staff to assist in filling out the form.  Please read all instructions on the form prior to filing so you understand what the filing does.
