Masks Not Required- Auditor’s & Courthouse Policy
I have been very proud of our staff and office in that we have never closed to the public during this pandemic. We have continued being open to you following my promise to never turn away residents doing essential business. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we remain open to you.
In light of the CDC's newest guidance, and the Governor's removal of Health Restrictions for June 2nd and updated orders removing the mask requirement effective May 14th, residents doing business in the Auditor's Office will not be asked to wear a mask. (Previously we have asked residents to wear a mask but would not turn away someone for not doing so.) Effective 5/18/2021 masks will not required to enter the County Courthouse per the County Commissioners for vaccinated individuals and no face covering requirement effective 6/2/2021.
As always, all work with the Auditor's Office can also be done via phone, mail, or online and those uncomfortable visiting in person can reach us via any of those options. The Ashtabula County Department of Health recommends those who are not vaccinated to still wear face coverings.
