New Conveyance Policy to Give Certainty in Low Value Transfers

Conveyance for Less Than Appraised Value Intermin Policy

Low Value Transfer Explanation Letter

Effective Monday, May 13th an interim conveyance policy will be enforced by the Ashtabula County Auditor’s Office regarding Low Value Transfers. This policy helps to give clarity and certainty in the property transfer process while also ensuring information needed to maintain state standards and reporting is collected by the Auditor’s Office.

The Low Value Policy and a greater explanation of the benefits of this interim standard can be found on this page and the Conveyance Section of the Auditor’s Website as well as in the Office. The Low Value Letter which needs to accompany all Low Value Transfers will serve to aid the Auditor’s Office in determining new values and tax district wholeness.

Should any questions on the new policy exist, please contact Dennis Huey, Real Estate Manager, at 440-576-3775 or DPHuey@ashtabulacounty.us .
